Introduce
These two lovely tea pets are meticulously handcrafted from purple sand Duan clay. The one resembling an otter weighs approximately 93 grams, and the seal one weighs around 109 grams as it seems to have "eaten" a bit more. They are small in size, making them convenient to hold and play with in the hand. Due to the properties of the purple sand clay material, it is normal for there to be some small black spots on the products. After being nourished with tea water for a long time, their surfaces will become smoother and more attractive, looking so lifelike that they seem like real animals.
What is blessing in china ？
"Blessing" is also referred to as "opening the light", "opening the eyes", or "enlightened". The "opening of the eyes" rite involves placing the tea pet in a temple after its production is finished and asking a senior monk to chant sutras. Alternatively, it can be placed in a special blessing room where a blessing ceremony is conducted. This is the way to consecrate a tea pet.
Why is it believed that a blessed tea pet can bring good fortune?
