Phoenix Dan Cong tea is a type of oolong tea, belonging to semi-fermented tea, and is mainly produced in Fenghuang Mountain, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. Phoenix Dan Cong tea is an excellent variety selected from the Phoenix Shuixian population variety through individual plant selection. These tea tree varieties are rich in resources and have diverse genetic characteristics, which endow Phoenix Dan Cong tea with rich variations in quality and flavor. According to statistics, there are as many as 110 varieties of Phoenix Dan Cong tea up to now. Therefore, Phoenix Dan Cong tea is also known as the "perfume among Chinese teas" and is widely recognized as a high-end Chinese tea.
Local tea farmers discovered eight tea trees of excellent quality in the past. All of these tea trees have a tree age of over 300 years. Through the generations of inheritance among local tea farmers, they combined with the Chinese legend of "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", and gradually formed the unique variety of Fenghuang Dancong "Eight Immortals".
The plants are relatively tall, and the tree posture is semi-open. The aroma is high and sharp, with a unique flower and honey fragrance. The aroma is rich and long-lasting, with an obvious alpine charm. When brewed, the aroma is so strong that it can be smelled from afar, which is really intoxicating.
The tea soup is smooth when sipped. The tea flavor is rich and has a sense of layering. The fragrance lingers in the mouth for a long time after drinking. Even after being brewed many times, it can still maintain a certain taste and aroma. Its extreme resistance to multiple brews is a very prominent feature.
